In this country we are exposed to a rich diversity of flora and fauna developed through a strong history of exploration. However, integrating differing eco systems can result in hostile takeover and a dilution of different indigenous species. Thus this work seeks to expose the intruders and ask the question, when is it a step too far?
Each plant has been taken within a 1 mile radius of my home in South-East England.
They are then arranged into a set constructed in my studio.
These sets are to look as much like a scene in the plants original country of origin.
By creating these fake scenes the work comments on the fakery of the plants indigenous nature. They are out of place in the studio, the photograph and the countryside.
